The Mission
Sell out a live Queen tribute show at the St Ives Corn Exchange without blowing the budget. The goal was to drive awareness and ticket sales using paid social, while keeping the spend lean and the messaging sharp.
The Outcome
We built and ran a focused Facebook ad campaign, targeted at a local audience most likely to be interested in live music and tribute events. Using strategic copy, strong visuals, and simple clear messaging, we promoted the show to exactly the right people. No wasted clicks, no guesswork.
The Impact
We agreed on a modest ad budget of £60, but never needed to spend the full amount. The event sold out before we hit it. With just £42.39 spent, the ad directly drove at least 43 ticket sales, delivering a return on ad spend of 1927% (or £19.27 return for every £1 spent). Every pound worked hard. Every ticket counted. And the result was a full house, with budget to spare.

The lead singer of the tribute band had not long before made an appearance on Britain’s Got Talent. We’re almost 100% sure that this helped sell tickets, but what we needed to make sure was that people knew that.

“We were very happy with the results, this resulted in a sold out show with a waiting list, we would absolutely do this again.”
