Website Refresh for a Local Charity
The Mission
Voluntary Community Action East Cambs (VCAEC) needed a website that did more than just exist. The goal was to create a bold, welcoming online presence that would appeal to potential volunteers, improve search engine visibility, and make key information easier to find. It had to be simpler, more engaging, and mobile-friendly. A site that worked for the people it was there to serve.
The Outcome
We rebuilt the website from the ground up with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and searchability. That meant reducing unnecessary pages, consolidating information, and streamlining the user journey, without losing any of the vital resources. We introduced a brighter visual style, added photography and colour, and made sure the site was fully responsive on all devices. We also implemented on-page SEO best practices to help the site climb the rankings and become easier to find on Google.
To make sure the VCAEC team felt confident managing their new site, we also created a step-by-step guide tailored to the platform. Giving their volunteers everything they needed to update content, make changes, and keep the site running smoothly without stress.
The Impact
VCAEC now has a site that looks more modern, feels more approachable, and is much easier to use. Visitors can quickly find the information they need, whether they’re on desktop or mobile. The simplified structure, improved navigation, and SEO-friendly setup have given the site a stronger foundation for growth, and made it far easier for people to discover, engage with, and support the organisation.
